dirtfruit.earth is dedicated to fungi, lichen, bryophytes and other wonders of the dirt. This is a space to share my reverence for these life forms and their persistence through the seasons. All photographs are my own and mostly shot on film. I try to identify each species, through various means, always considering physical characteristics, environment, spore prints where applicable etc. I welcome and encourage peer review of my identification. I hope you enjoy these images and if you would like to use them for your own purposes please ask permission or otherwise go to nature and look closely then let’s share in our observations.
